The Committee for Public Information (TJNK) has awarded EUR 400 000 as public information grants. The Committee received 412 grant applications, of which 56 were financed. Most of the grants were awarded to non-fiction books.

The public information grants are awarded to support diverse, multichannel and innovative non-fiction writing and other forms of popularising information. The funding enables researched information to be made public in a way that benefits all of us.

In 2020, the Committee received 412 applications, of which 56 were awarded a public information grant. The applied funding amounted to EUR 3 440 750. A total of EUR 400,000 was awarded in grants.

Majority of the grants (82% of the total sum) was awarded to non-fiction books.
