The life cycle of research: Planning, Doing research, Publishing, Reuse

The Responsible Research website (www.responsibleresearch.fi) is a guide to research integrity, responsible science communication, and open science culture in Finland.

The website provides up-to-date information about Finnish research practices for the increasingly international research community in Finland and abroad.

In the Finnish system, when does a study require a research permit or an ethical review? What is the role of science communication in responsible conduct of research? How are open science and research ethics interlinked? How does commissioned research or business collaboration affect the publicity and openness of the findings? How to handle research data in a responsible way?

The articles on the Responsible Research website are written by researchers and other experts in Finland and translated into English. The website is updated on an ongoing basis, and feedback and suggestions for content are warmly welcome. The aim is to provide high-quality content that serves the needs of the scholarly community.

Responsible Research is the English version of www.vastuullinentiede.fi. Vastuullinen tiede is a joint initiative by the Committee for Public Information (TJNK) and the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity TENK, and the work is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland.
